The Bidgee Dragons Abreast Wagga Wagga is proposing to build a dragon boat shed.

The club’s members are breast cancer survivors and supporters of various ages from a great variety of backgrounds, athletic abilities and interests.

It currently operates from a shipping container located behind the Bosley Memorial Park amenities building near the south-western bank of Lake Albert.

It's proposed that the shed will be built near existing recreational boating infrastructure along the southern bank of Lake Albert.

The Bidgee Dragons have two dragon boats (a 20 seater and a 10 seater), a dragon boat trailer, training paddles and personal flotation devices. This equipment is currently stored in a shipping container which is located behind an amenities building about 150m to the north-west of the proposed shed site. The proposed new storage shed will allow the club to have a permanent location and convenient operation of activities.

The Review of Environmental Factors recommends that the proposal proceed.

What do you think about the proposal to build the dragon boat shed?
