Wagga View Race captured on film

On your marks, get set, go.

Earlier in the year three teams raced through the streets of Wagga Wagga competing in a series of activities to reflect the liveability of our city.

Known as the Wagga View Race, the competing teams learnt about a range of aspects of community life in Wagga, from transport and safety to emergency response, waste management and more.

Representing a cross section of the community, the teams were from TAFE NSW Riverina Institute, the Leisure Company and Multicultural Council of Wagga Wagga.

The race was one of many activities that helped contributed to the creation of the city’s draft Community Strategic Plan – Wagga View.

All the action of the Wagga View Race was captured and created into an 18-minute film by community partner Waggawagga.tv.

“We were very excited to be a part of the Wagga View community story, and to be a part of the innovative journey the Wagga View Team decided to go on,” Waggawagga.tv CEO Adam Drummond said.

“To create a TV-style show about how to understand and better utilise Wagga's services and facilities was not only challenging but engaging as well.”
